Hiking in the mountains
Many hiking trails are part of the natural heritage of our stretch of the Tuscan Apennines.
Excursions and trekking on marked and unmarked paths, through forests of multiple tree essences (chestnuts, oaks, beeches, conifers) that connect medieval villages rich in history.
The paths we suggest can be traveled all year round independently or with hiking and environmental guides who, in addition to accompanying you, will be able to tell the story, traditions and anecdotes that characterize the area.

PATH OF THE AVIES
Varied route on beaten mountain paths that crosses old mills and farmhouses. Along the way in the woods you will meet trees of rare beauty. The trek is well marked and allows you to tackle the circuit in one direction or the other

HIGH ROAD OF THE SHEPHERDS
Ring route around the suggestive Prato Fiorito mountain. High slope. Its significant difference in height and the ring allow you to have a 360 degree panorama: from the Val di Lima to the Garfagnana, to the Tuscan Apennines and the peaks of Abetone, up to the sea (on clear days). Pratofiorito and the entire Albereta area was home to pastures and it is still possible to see flocks of sheep and herds of cattle today. On the summit it is almost obligatory to stop and enjoy the wind in silence, which is the only perceived sound. in spring and summer unique blooms particularly of daffodils and orchids create colorful carpets as only nature can create. The collection of wild plants is prohibited.
